(if we're talking about Monster's HDMI cables, they are all BS.). So it says it has "heavy-duty double shielding and a gas-injected dielectric for optimum signal integrity" This is not a false claim. Interference. "SingleHelix construction for added rejection of interference, enhancing the realism of your game audio" See the part that says rejection of interference.
Ok if you notice in ANY Monster cable review, people will always say "I've been ripped off. Bottom line: Get good quality analog cables. It's not BS. Get the $2 cable, it does the same thing." Monster doesn't claim that this cable is going to do your laundry and clean your house.
This is what most cheap cables have. Always. But here's a fact, you will NOT find a higher QUALITY cable. It IS heavy duty, It IS heavily shielded (shielding makes a difference in analog cables people) What else.
Overall still a good product. I can't stand cable clutter and it makes it difficult to wrap this cable in with my others. All of my cables are Monster because they are awesome and have good quality. The only thing I dont like about these cables is the funky splitter that takes it from one big cable down to 5.
Make sure you set your Wii to output 480p when you connect these cables. The picture quality between 480i through RCA and 480p through components is huge. These are high quality cables that were not much more than lesser brands. So why not go w/ the best.
Note: I said "looks".Now for performance, it didn't provide any better picture than the Rocketfish cable I bought off eBay for $7 (Best Buy retail $28). I have noticed a few people saying they bought the same cable for around $26 at Target. I am not sure at this point if I want to go back to stock Wii A/V cable. Component cable picture is a lot sharper, but it comes with its own problem - hard edges around the letters or objects. The fact is, Target does have a 8-ft Monster Cable for $26, but that is not what Amazon is selling here. I actually bought the one at Target, and the Amazon version (also sold at Best Buy) looks to be built better and higher quality.
In fact, if you do like wasting money, buy a cheaper cable anyway, then send me the difference. Unless you like wasting money, buy a cheaper lead. I'm sure this cable works as well as any other wii component cable, but the others are half the price - at least. When you read the other reviews of this lead, bear in mind how much some of them sound like someone from marketing wrote them. There is no way that in any objective blinded test you could tell this apart from any other, well-reviewed eighteen dollar cable.
